The Three Cherry Trees
(for Low Voice and Piano)

The Three Cherry Trees is a setting of a poem by Walter De La Mare from his 1912 cycle The Listeners. The poem is about a beautiful lady who once walked in a shady garden of cherry trees. In spite of the beauty of the garden, its flowers and birds, she was by far the loveliest inhabitant. Compass is Bb2 to E4 and the piece is about 3 minutes in duration.
