The Listeners (for Low Voice and Piano)

The Listeners is a setting of a poem by Walter De La Mare written in 1912, which appeared in a collection also entitled The Listeners The compass is Ab2 to Eb4 and the piece is about 6:10 minutes in duration. The poem describes a traveller attempting to gain entry to a lonely and seemingly unoccupied house at dead of night. The piece is eerily atmospheric.
