The Admiral's March
is a composition created to celebrate the 75th. Anniversary
(1945-2020) of the acquisition of Hatchlands Park in Surrey by The
National Trust. The Honourable Edward Boscawen and his wife Frances
commissioned the building of the house in 1756. When the house was
completed the Admiral enjoyed only 2 years there before his death in
1761. The Admiral's March is 2 minutes in duration and has
been written to be played on the Walker three manual pipe organ in
the Music Room. It may be played, however, on any two or three
manual organ. It is available as a single piece or as an inclusion
in the Organ Album Volume 2.
All the proceeds from the sale of this piece as a single
item will go to the Trust's Organ Appeal. A piano solo version is also available.
See Piano Works.
